Medieval Seal matrix. Circa 14th century CE. Copper-alloy, 24.68mm. A chess-piece type, the face of the seal bears the inscription ''.LE CONTRE . SEAV . DE MELERE' (the counter seal of Melere). In the centre there is a raised shield bearing a coat of arms surrounded by a linear tressure composed of three arches alternating with three points. Recorded on the PAS database: SF-303701B.
